Everblue Partners with Sela through AWS IQ and Grows Revenue 90%
Everblue, a managed service provider offering technology services primarily to governments and partners in regulated industries, was looking to simplify its software solutions and make them more customer-facing. Turning to AWS IQ for answers, it found AWS Advanced Tier Partner Sela, which came through with a customized solution that netted Everblue 90 percent revenue growth.

Unable to Leverage the Real Value of the Cloud
Despite hosting its software on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Everblue had not yet unlocked the full value of the cloud. Sid Bergstresser, chief technology officer of Everblue, explained, “We did not really have an in-house team or a solid understanding of the cloud at the time. Back then, we were primarily using off-the-shelf tools or contracting out any technology work.” When Everblue began receiving client queries to support its solutions running in AWS environments, it did not have the capacity to fulfill them and needed to act fast.
Sela Builds Cloud-Based Solutions for Everblue
Everblue turned to AWS IQ to fulfill one of these queries for a government client. “I went on to AWS IQ just to find someone to set up Amazon EC2 instances in GovCloud for a client, found Sela, and the rest is history,” Bergstresser said. In Sela, Everblue found a long-term partner that introduced it to the real possibility of the cloud. And for several years now, Sela and Everblue have been working closely—almost as a single team—to develop new service offerings and customize existing ones. “Thanks to Sela, we currently have either existing applications that have been containerized and deployed within Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), or AWS-native solutions built using AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Aurora Serverless. Today, 99 percent of our digital estate is on AWS, including our license management, process automation and digitization offerings” said Bergstresser.
2-Day Client Onboarding and 90% Revenue Growth for Everblue
In four years, Everblue has witnessed a 90 percent growth in revenue attributable to the collaboration with Sela and has dropped client onboarding times from two months to a few days. Perhaps the biggest takeaway for Everblue has been the value that it has been able to offer its clients—rapid customization without the upfront complexity. Bergstresser explained, “Sela has played a pivotal role in our success by helping us keep the complexity in client solutions behind the scenes to deliver optimal outcomes rapidly.”
